gauges attitudes towards cloud services, data needs and the
level of awareness and preparedness for incoming GDPR
legislation.

Leveraging local providers for
hybrid cloud services is the most
popular way to utilise the hybrid cloud across
EMEA, with Germany also being more likely than the
UK and France to deploy hybrid cloud services using a
hyperscale provider (e.g. AWS or Microsoft Azure) or
large cloud service provider (like Fujitsu).

business size, although it was more popular
among medium and large
businesses overall.
France was the only country where hybrid cloud was
more popular among small than large businesses.

What are your primary motivations for cloud adoption?
Security is primarily a motivation for cloud adoption among CIOs in
France and Germany.
In the UK, security is primarily a motivation for other members of the
C-suite.
On average, IT managers are less likely to chose security as a motivation
for cloud adoption than CIOs and other members of the C-suite
