This document discusses the design and analysis of a circular microstrip patch antenna utilizing a defected ground structure (DGS) for improved performance in wireless communication applications. The study highlights the antenna's capabilities in achieving maximum gain and bandwidth across a frequency spectrum of 5-15 GHz, and it demonstrates the benefits of the DGS technique in enhancing antenna efficiency. Simulation results validate the antenna's effectiveness for WLAN and X-band applications, suggesting potential for future enhancements in antenna design.
