Purpose:
Form:
Genre and content:
• The magazine will containin depth interviews with the starsof the films being featured.
• It will have exclusive photographsof them on set and in character.
• Images of actorsat first table reads with notes on their personal scripts will be shown.
• There will be step-by-step photos of processes in hair and make-up.
• There will be interviews or short comments from crew members, such as film directors,sound and
lighting engineers, camera operators,costume designers, the directorsof photographyand
producers.
• It will include photos of special effects creationsand green screen scenes.
• There will be photos of the film locations and funny moments or bloopers.
• As film is a visual genre, some of the pages will be almost entirely photographic,with just a little
textual explanation here and there.
• There will be QR codes to scan which will take readers to the movie trailers to watch.
Budget:
• The budget show expenditurefor the initialcapitalinvestmentin
resources and equipment.
• It also shows regularly occurring costs of running and producing
the magazine.
• There will be pages with adverts from companies wishing to
promote their products to the target audienceof the magazine.
• The projected sales are calculatedat approximately1,500
magazines being sold each month.
• The budget does not include office rental.
• It also does not include disbursements, such as printerink, paper
etc.
Resources and personnel:
• There will need to be capitalinvestmentin a high qualitydigitalSLR camera to take out on shoots when
creating content for the magazine.
• There will need to be a computer, and annualsubscription to Adobe Creative software, includingPhotoshop
for picture editing and InDesign for magazine layoutand production.
• Personnel will include permanent staff, such as the editorto supervise the contentand supervise the overall
design and look of the magazine.
• Personnel will also includea graphic designer to edit photosin photoshop and layoutthe magazine ready to
send to print.
• There will then be freelance employees, such as a photographerto take primary, exclusive photosand
feature writers/ journalistssent out to specific film sets to create content for the magazine.
• The print productionand any packaging to stores will be outsourced.
Distribution and Marketing:
• The magazine will be distributed for sale in local shops, such as news agents, and
supermarkets in North London.
• Teenagers walking into the shops will be attracted by the magazine cover when they are
passing and be tempted to buy it.
• The magazine would be available at film festivals and teenage events, like popular music
concerts.
• The marketing on Instagram will also have a link from which the magazine can be
purchased on-line.
• The main marketing will be via social media, Instagram and Tik Tok.
• There will also be posters in the windows of relevant North London shops, or at the point
of sale counters in shops or film festival events.
• Gaming platforms are popular with teenagers so they will carry advertisements for the
magazine.
• There will be a link on the advert so people can purchase the film magazine.

• Sub headingson the front of the magazine, or detailsof the content,will be bold.
• The font for the text inside the magazine will be Arial.
• Arial has been chosen as it is clear, simple and easy to read.
• Article headingswill be in large type and emboldened.

• There will be a main feature on "Iron Lung".
• There will be an in-depth interview with the director / producer Mark Fischback.
• Another article will have exclusive images of Mark Fischback and his co-star, CarolineRose Caplan,in
costume with commentary from the costume designer.
• These images will include them in hairand make up and technicaldetailsof the costume designs and
construction.
• Another article will be with the props and special effects team.
• There will be other smaller articles on other 2023 horror movie releases, such as "65".
