In sales, burnout rarely arrives as a single moment. It builds quietly, often behind high performance, high expectations, and the pressure to keep delivering. In the latest episode of Why Did It Fail?, Junis Emanuel Seger shared a perspective that many sales professionals will recognise: When expectations aren’t clear, from leadership or from ourselves. the workload expands, boundaries disappear, and the risk of burnout rises fast. It’s a reminder that sustainable performance isn’t just about skill or effort. It depends on: • Clear priorities • Realistic expectations • Open conversations • Supportive environments The best teams aren’t just driven, they’re protected. They create conditions where people can perform at a high level without running themselves into the ground. This is a conversation worth hearing for anyone in sales. Have you been enjoying our Demand Gen Course? We’ve just launched the final module… and it’s a big one. Module 9: Reporting to Leadership Taught by Fran Langham, Director of Demand Gen. If marketing wants to be treated like a revenue engine, great reporting is the unlock. This module shows you how to turn scattered metrics into clear, actionable stories leadership can actually make decisions from. Inside you’ll learn: 🔑 How to shift from vanity metrics to revenue stories Move beyond platform stats and use the Metrics → Meaning framework to report on what truly drives pipeline and revenue. 🔁 How to build a reporting rhythm that aligns the whole revenue team Create a weekly/monthly/quarterly cadence, split Pre-MQL vs Post-MQL reviews, and keep marketing, sales, RevOps, and finance working from one source of truth. 💡 How to use reporting to influence decisions Tailor your narrative for each stakeholder and use the Challenge → Diagnosis → Action → Impact model to secure budget and drive strategic decisions. We all have a “before demand gen” story... Maybe you gated everything. Maybe you bought a list that definitely included a Labrador. Maybe you cold-called your entire LinkedIn feed before your morning coffee. And honestly? Fair play - most of us learned the hard way. But the marketers who are winning today aren’t relying on those old shortcuts. They’re building trust. Creating value. Showing up in the right places before someone is in market. That’s exactly what we teach in the Demand Generation Playbook Course - practical, modern marketing that doesn’t treat your buyers like an inconvenience. If you’re ready to upgrade from the “Max the dog replied” era… All nine course modules are waiting (for free)! https://lnkd.in/ebitG-Ez

🚨 Marketers: Inbound is at a crossroads. Are you ready for what’s coming next? Organic traffic is falling. AI is rewriting discovery. Buyers are researching everywhere except your website. So what’s actually driving growth in 2026? That’s exactly what we’re tackling in our next Marketing Dilemmas Live session. We’ll break down the findings from our new Inside Inbound report, including: 🔍 Why organic traffic is down 33.6% YoY 🤖 How AI/LLM recommendations have become the fastest-growing source of attribution 📈 Why direct traffic is rising, even as search declines 💰 Which paid channels are truly delivering conversions (hint: search is still the strongest closer) ⚡ Why inbound success now comes down to speed, relevance, and brand-led intent If the old inbound playbook no longer works, what replaces it? Join Fran Langham and Liam Bartholomew as they unpack the new GTM reality: influence → intent → capture - and share what high-performing teams are doing differently. 👉 Save your spot below!

Cold calling isn’t dying, it’s evolving. We've noticed a recent shift that every sales team should be paying attention to: SDRs are hitting a 13.3% answer rate. AEs calling warm leads are at 14.4%. That gap used to be miles apart. Now it’s almost identical. To understand more about what's driving modern outbound, and how top teams are adapting, the State of Outbound 2026 report breaks it all down. Read here: https://lnkd.in/efMGUP8T

Hey B2B Marketing Live UK! We’ve landed. Swing by, say hi, and let’s talk contact data! 👋

👉 Reporting pushes us toward the work that looks good on dashboards… not necessarily the work that drives long-term revenue. Paid is easy to justify. You get fast answers, clean attribution, and a clear ROI story. It feels predictable. But when numbers dip - MQLs, pipeline, demo volume - it's easy to zoom straight into paid to “fix it,” while the organic engine quietly gets underfunded and undervalued. But organic is where memory, demand, and trust are actually built. Paid is where they’re captured. The real challenge is not just balance, it’s how you report that balance back up to leadership in a way that doesn’t let short-term paid metrics overshadow long-term brand performance. That’s the dilemma Liam Bartholomew and Fran Langham talk about in this weeks episode of the Marketing Dilemmas podcast. Listen here: https://lnkd.in/eUpxGXbV

Great cold calling isn’t about talking. It’s about relevance. In the latest episode of Why Did It Fail?, Shiwam Singh joined Shivan Pillay to break down one of the biggest reasons cold calls fall flat: 👉 Reps focus on themselves instead of the prospect. Instead of leading with product features or company credentials, Shiwam explains why top-performing reps shift the conversation to: 🔹 The prospect’s goals 🔹 Their challenges 🔹 The value they can actually gain It’s a simple mindset shift, but one that can completely change the outcome of a call. If your team's looking to improve cold call effectiveness, this is a conversation worth hearing. Full episode 👉 https://lnkd.in/ej_YUZ_B
