Storage adapters

Let’s make it possible to choose an arbitrary storage via the Query API, such as OPFS in the browser, local directory, or S3/azure blob storage. Let’s make it possible to share a link with a specific adapter loaded so that people can save and share their Playground site.

I think that this is what I need for my integration. I need the storage to be the stackblitz web container fs. Then my students can make themes and plugins and test them in the browser. I want to make a wp-cli style bundler to generate a static site for them. I have some php code to make a static site.

Yes! I would like to create an adapter to write changes with ODD SDK (formerly WebNative File System) to allow storing the site state on IPFS. That, combined with a static export plugin, can let us both build and deploy wordpress sites completely locally, with nothing but a browser, yet still collaborate.

@Erudition That sounds exciting! While Playground doesn't support those storages natively yet, the JavaScript API client can be used to write your own Playground wrapper to export / import the Playground state to / from IPFS.
