Hi everyone. I wanted to raise a simple question. AWS gives extra recognition to people who invest in certifications - things like KubeAstronaut and other special badges that motivate specialists and make learning more exciting. In Google Cloud, even if you earn several certifications, you don’t really get anything similar. It would be great if Google Cloud could introduce some kind of additional recognition or status for certified users. It’s not difficult to implement, and it would strongly increase motivation and community engagement. I hope someone from the team can comment on whether this could be considered. Thank you.
Hello @a_aleinikov ,
AWS is giving you Golden Jacket if you pass and maintain valid all AWS certs (13 AFAIK). Kubestronaut is an recognition for obtaining 5 (it will going to change soon) kubernetes related certifications which are totally out of scope of clouds per se. I will agree with you that getting super cool stuff like pin or jacket would be awesome, but maybe it’s not how Google in this case want to promote their products.
PS: I have Kubestronaut jacked ![]()
cheers,
Damian
