An AI that lacks ethical oversight can cause reputational, legal, and societal harm. 📌 Define the Ethical Baseline: Auditors must first understand what “ethical AI” means in the organization’s context. Review whether governance frameworks incorporate principles of fairness, transparency, accountability, and human oversight. Check for policies aligned with global standards like the OECD AI Principles, ISO 42001, NIST AI Risk Management Framework, or the EU AI Act. 📌 Assess Governance and Oversight: AI governance must extend beyond technical performance. Confirm that an AI Ethics Committee or similar body exists to review high-risk use cases.
