Outstanding Finance Startups Recognized at the Fintech Germany Award 2024
For the ninth consecutive year, Germany’s most innovative financial startups were celebrated at the Fintech Germany Award (FTGA). On Monday evening, the prestigious awards returned to Frankfurt am Main— where it all started —after three years, having previously been hosted twice in Berlin and once in Stuttgart.
Set beneath the striking archways of the Kunstverein Familie Montez, located across from the European Central Bank headquarters, this year’s ceremony honored a diverse range of outstanding fintechs. The Frankfurt-based startup Fincite took home the top prize in the Early Stage category, while NAO, headquartered in Berlin, secured first place in the Seed Stage category.
A Night of Celebrating Fintech Excellence
Two companies proved their excellence as repeat winners. Raisin, the Berlin-based fintech unicorn, secured the Late/Growth Stage award, marking yet another victory after winning in 2017 and 2020. Meanwhile, Frankfurt’s Cashlink claimed the Special Award for Digital Assets, adding to its past wins in 2020 and 2021.
The Most Promising International Startup award went to Austria’s Bitpanda, reinforcing its position as a key player in the global crypto space. The Special Award for Artificial Intelligence was handed to Unique, a Swiss company specializing in ChatGPT-powered solutions for the financial industry, reflecting the growing impact of AI in fintech.
Surprise Awards & Exclusive Opportunities
Beyond the official categories, select startups were also rewarded with exclusive opportunities, including invitations to premier industry events. Some recipients received tickets to High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) Family Day 2025 in Berlin, Germany’s largest venture capital event, while others were awarded entry to NVIDIA’s GTC Developer Conference in San Jose, California, a global stage for AI and technological innovation.
With over 100 applications, the 25 members strong FTGA Jury carefully shortlisted 38 startups before selecting this year’s standout winners—each playing a vital role in shaping the future of fintech.
