Exciting week in the #UAE for WeRide at أبوظبي للأنظمة ذاتية الحركة | Abu Dhabi Autonomous! 🇦🇪 Our Founder and CEO, Dr. Tony Han, joined His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, and Chairman of the Smart and Autonomous Systems Council (SASC), to view WeRide's AV display at the event, featuring our #Robotaxi and #Robobus. Tony also took the stage for the panel "From Vision to Impact: Accelerating Abu Dhabi’s Innovation Ecosystem", alongside industry leaders His Excellency Badr Al-Olama, Director General of Abu Dhabi Investment Office مكتب أبوظبي للاستثمار, and Elena Sorlini, Managing Director and CEO of Abu Dhabi Airports. He emphasized how a strong, supportive ecosystem is crucial for AV deployment, noting #AbuDhabi's emergence as a global hub for AV innovation, thanks to forward-thinking regulators like Abu Dhabi Mobility (ITC). With ITC's support, WeRide has been operating Robotaxis with TXAI in Abu Dhabi since 2021. In December 2024, we launched our Robotaxi ride-hailing partnership with Uber in Abu Dhabi – the largest commercial Robotaxi service outside the US and China. Since Q2 2025, fully driverless testing has been underway, paving the way for fully driverless commercial operations.
