With recent graduates facing tougher odds in today’s job market, the need for business, academia, and government to work together to prepare the next generation of talent is more urgent than ever. As I write in my new Fortune commentary, “talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not.” At Honeywell, we’re focused on building stronger, more inclusive pathways into the workforce — from expanding our internship program to investing in innovative partnerships with universities and nonprofits. Recently, we announced a $10 million commitment to establish the Honeywell Innovation Hub at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte — a model of how industry and academia can collaborate to develop and inspire the workforce of the future. I invite you to read the full piece and share your thoughts on how we can collectively strengthen the talent pipeline and prepare people for the future of work. https://lnkd.in/eFRwUFzq
Deep insight on the reality.I missed an opportunity to work at Honeywell as a product support engineer.
Absolutely agree! Preparing the workforce of the future is a shared responsibility, and it’s inspiring to see Honeywell leading the way with inclusive pathways and strong partnerships. Collaboration across business, academia, and government is key to unlocking opportunities and building a resilient talent pipeline. Great insights from Vimal Kapur!
Honeywell Argentina is adhering to the "DEI" concept, which requires its employees to take miserable DEI courses, even when many companies are leaving it aside because what really matters is merit when hiring employees. They want to change your way of thinking, getting it into “Woke” mode.
You have the wrong focus. You need to interview highly qualified structurally employed people.
As a recent Cybersecurity college graduate I can appreciate the focus! Trying to find entry level opportunities has been and still is daunting and challenging to say the least.
Thanks to Honeywell for their support of FIRST ROBOTICS (as part of a non-profit educational program). New idea: What if we incentivized the creation of an online training platform, accessible to all students, approved by the government, and aligned with Honeywell's core competencies?
Great insights. I agree that closing the gap between talent and opportunity requires strong collaboration across industry, academia, and government. Honeywell’s investment in the Innovation Hub is a powerful example of creating real pathways for future talent. Looking forward to seeing the impact it brings.

As an early-career engineer this is especially great to see!
I will always be grateful to Honeywell and their recruiter Ann Rhone(sp?) for jump-starting my career out of college. Yes, that was a long time ago.
