What is IP address management?
- [Instructor] We will start this discussion with IP Address Management or IPAM. IP Address Management is the integrated suite of tools to enable end-to-end planning, deployment, managing, and monitoring of IP address infrastructure. This is a server role that is available with Windows Server 2012 and beyond. The best part of this particular suite is that IPAM will automatically discover all the IP address infrastructure, servers, and DNS servers in your network, and it will enable you to manage them from a centralized interface. You can also use IPAM to plan and manage both IPV4 and IPV6 address base, and you can also manage your IP inventory, DNS server, and DHCP server. Let's look at the four modules of IPAM server.
