Volumetric lighting in HDRP
- [George] Hi, there I'm George Mistry. Today we're going to take a look at how to create volumetric lighting in Unity. And this is a great way to create kind of a moody lighting as well as way to create like shafts of visible light. And I'm sure you'll know the effect once you see it. So here I have a simple scene and this is perfect for volumetric lighting. Cause has a lot of stuff that the light can pass around. And so let's go ahead and get this set up. Now, the first thing I want to do is just go ahead and select the light in the scene. I only have one light and that's called sun. And so first thing I want to do in order to really see this effect, the light kind of needs to be pointed a little bit towards the camera. So I'm going to just rotate this basically, you know, about 80, 90 degrees or so just enough so that I can kind of see the shadows here. And this will give me a little bit better indication of…
