(upbeat music) - [Instructor] In 4G network let's understand about the different nodes that are present in Core Network, and how the call flows from the user device to the core network. Whenever a device switch on, it search for the nearby base station, and if the coverage is good, this particular user will connect to the base station, and then moves towards the core network. The very first node that comes into the picture is the mobility management entity. It takes care of the registration part, for the particular user and authenticates it. It also takes care of the mobility management when user move from one cell to another. Now, HSS is another important node, which works in coordination with MME, to provide the subscription related details of the user. It contains all the information about the subscribers and their data. It helps to authenticate a particular user if that user is legitimate or not.
