- [Instructor] In this movie, we'll discuss how to install a purchased SSL certificate on an Nginx web server. This can be a daunting process for users who are not already comfortable using and configuring Nginx. Most certificate authorities have installation guides that can walk you through the process. Those guides can be a useful resource if you get stuck and need help. One piece of advice is that it's always useful to make a backup copy of any configuration file before you start making edits. That way, if you mess up, you'll always be able to restore the original file, and then you can try again. Nginx configuration files are usually located in a directory that's either at etc/nginx, or opt/nginx. The configuration for each domain is usually found in the sites-available directory, and that will be in the same directory as the main configuration file.
