- [Instructor] Another crucial part of the way I set up an Atmos mix session is the use of masters. Master faders don't have a huge role with the way that I work in stereo all the time, but they can really save you a lot of energy and a lot of brain power when you're working in Atmos. I have five master faders here. The first one is a 7.1.2 master bed. And essentially, what that allows me to do is not only trim my volume here, which can be handy, but that's not really something that I'm going to do there so often, but it allows me to add processing across all of those first 10 channels without much more effort than working in the stereo field. So not all plug-in manufacturers are going to manufacture everything surround compatible. However, if we go to multi-mono, most everything should be available.
