Enable checking out a document: Modern experience
- [Instructor] The ability to require people to check documents out of a SharePoint library before they can edit them is a great feature, and we're gonna show you in this movie how to go ahead and do that. We're here on the marketing team site in the document library. It is a modern experience document library. And we wanna go ahead and set this library so that people have to check a document out. We're gonna select this document here first, document versions, and over here, at the top, you'll see that we have these three ellipses. If we click on there, we have check out as an option. We'll also see it here. If we go to the right of the document title, you see it says show actions, I have those three ellipses, and when I click on there, I can go to more, and select check out there. Now, check out is always an option in the SharePoint library, but if you wanna require it, you have to change the library settings. So we're gonna go up here to our little menu gear, the little settings…
