- [Instructor] Let us now cover how to add and remove server roles in a Windows server. There are two main ways to do that. One is by using the server manager, and the other option is through PowerShell. Let us first talk about the server manager. The nice thing about the server manager is its user friendly interface. From the top right hand corner of the server manager we'll click on manage, then we'll select the ad roles and features. After which, we'll then just help to follow the wizard. Yes, that's another good thing about the server manager. There is a wizard that will guide you through the installation process, so as to ensure that all necessary dependencies are installed. Let us click on Next. Under the installation type we'll select the role-based or feature-based installation, then click on next.
