- [Instructor] Servers play a vital role in a network. They provide services and resources to other devices, and for that to happen, they need a stable and reliable network connection. Network issues can lead to server downtime, which can be costly and disruptive to the business. For that matter, in this video, let us cover some of the common networking troubleshooting steps that you can take. First, we need to check the hardware connections. Ensure that all cables and hardware are properly connected and powered on. There are cases wherein the ethernet cable might have been unplugged from the router. For that case, the resolution is to simply plug it back in. In other cases, the cable might have been broken, so you may need to replace the cable instead. Or perhaps it's the network interface card that is broken, or maybe the cable is plugged into the wrong interface, 'cause that could happen too.
