- [Instructor] In this video, I want to talk about vertically compound walls. So let's start by what I mean by vertically compound walls. So I've got two walls here floating outside the building and a section cutting through them. So locate the blue section head here on the left and just double click that and that will open up that section view. So the wall here on the left is just a simple compound wall, but it is not vertically compound. Now, when I say it's a simple compound wall, that's because if you zoom in, you'll notice that there's a stud layer in the middle and there's drywall on either side. So it's a compound wall, it's got more than one layer of material. But compare that to this one where not only is it compound in the layer structure, but it's also compound as it runs vertically up the wall. So we've got this band of material here, this sill component. We've got these reveals cutting through the wall. As…
