Adding step footings

Now that we have our foundation pretty much completely modeled, I'd like to investigate how we're going to deal with the step footing. Let's jump into Revit under models go open. Browse your exercise files, chapter 3. Let's grab structural 3, 7, open. Okay, depending on the view you're in, what I'd like to do is pretend that there's a hill back here. I'd like to step this footing down to that hill. Let's go down to structural plan level one. Let's go to our west elevation right here, west. The idea is we're gonna step the bottom of this wall down then we're going to step it back up. To do that we need to edit the profile of this wall. So go ahead and select this wall right here. On the mode panel let's click edit profile. Now we can simply sketch this wall out. On the draw panel click the line button. It's not really going where I want it to go from, so let's do this. On the Draw panel, click the Pick Lines button. Let's offset this four feet. I want to come off that column line to…
