- The Raspberry Pi 400 and 500 are self-contained computers that live inside a keyboard case here. So they've both got the same ports on the back down here, and the process of connecting them is very, very similar. All the ports are on the back. And before you proceed, you'll need to make sure that your Raspberry Pi is disconnected from power. We'll connect it again after we've installed the operating system on a micro SD card and put it inside the computer. So, first, you need to plug in your mouse. I've got a wireless one here, so I'm not trading cables everywhere. The computer is already inside the keyboard, so you don't need another one. Just pop this in the SB slot at the back and your mouse is connected. And now you need to connect your Raspberry Pi to an HDMI cable with a micro HDMI socket. All right, next, you'll need to plug in your ethernet cable if that's needed. It's not needed if you're using Wi-Fi. And you're ready to install your operating system now. So check out the…
