- [Instructor] From time to time, Raspberry Pi will release new versions of the firmware needed to run your Raspberry Pi. In general, you don't need to rush out to install the latest firmware unless something isn't working right. However, you'll occasionally need to do this to enable support for new hardware accessories, or to make sure you have the best possible experience with accessories. For example, the Raspberry Pi AI Hat plus documentation, which adds AI acceleration for computer vision applications asks you to update your firmware before installing it. Before you update your firmware, you should first perform a full upgrade. This process can take a while, so we're going to skip through the video here for you. Next, run the command pseudo r pi dash eprom dash update and make a note of the firmware date. If the date is earlier than 6th of December, 2023, you should go into the command line version of Rasberry PI config. Go to Advanced Options select Boot Load Diversion, and…
