- [Instructor] Not all visual cues, especially in visuals, are created equal. For example, humans visually perceive things that we see first by their order, color, size, and shape; in that order. So while we can't really sort map visuals, we can use other visual elements within them to emphasize and highlight key features on our maps. In Power BI Desktop, we have data for populations by zip code in the New York City area. Tools that have built-in mapping functionalities like Power BI does will often automatically geocode geographical entities like zip codes into points or shapes on a map. If we look at our populations, we see that zip code is already formatted as a postal code data category. Let's then add an Azure map to our report page to visualize the distribution of populatons in the New York City area.
