- [Narrator] In Maya, curves can be used for a lot of different tasks. So let's take a look at how curves can be used to model. Now we're going to do what's called a curve extrude. So, here I have a simple box and a curve. So what I want to do is, take a face of the box and extrude it along that curve. Now, the first thing I want to do is, make sure that my curve is oriented the way that I want. So I'm going to right click, go to Control Vortex, and I want my first vortex to be here. So, it is going to extrude along the direction of that curve. So let's go back into Object Mode and select this cube. Now, I want to select a face, so I'm going to right click and select Face from my marking menu, and I'll go ahead and select this face, and then shift select this curve. And then, all I have to do is do Edit Mesh, Extrude, or control E. And now I get this result that, well, it doesn't quite look the way that I want,…
