In this segment, we'll review some of the tools you can use to scan the Linux operating system for malware and rootkits. Now, there are a lot of things that you can do to secure your system, include using anti malware protection, scanning your system, employing security appliances, such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems and updating the system. In addition to using good security practices, you'll also want to make sure that you do not either have malware or a rootkit. Of course, there are proprietary products that you can use, but there are also some open-source applications you can use to secure your system as well.
