You can take some time to sit back and enjoy your accomplishment, but your security certification journey has only just begun. Information security is a constantly-evolving field with new threats and controls arising regularly. All SSCP holders must complete continuing professional education to keep their knowledge current and their skills sharp. Now, the guidelines around continuing professional education are somewhat complicated, but the main requirement is simple. You need to earn 60 hours of CPE credit during your three-year certification cycle. Those certification cycle years do not necessarily correspond to calendar years.
