Service level objectives and agreements
- [Instructor] Your end users will have expectations about how your application performs and the need for metrics to measure that performance is crucial. The way we measure that performance is defined in our service-level objectives and service-level agreements. When you move a business process into a new application, or when a customer signs up for a new online service, the people who now depend on that service have expectations of availability and performance. You probably have that same expectation of your cloud service providers. If you plan to host your application on Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud platform, you're placing your trust in those providers that their services will be there when you need them. Failing to define and meet those expectations is a great way to lose customers.
