- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll show you how to take what I'm calling these construction paths right here, and we're going to clip them apart using the Scissors tool in order to create these paths right here. So notice, we're getting rid of everything over on this side and everything down along here as well. All right, so I'll go ahead and switch to my illustration in progress here. And I'm going to zoom way in on this detail right here. And just so that we're getting the most precise results possible, I'll press Control, Y, or Command, Y, on a Mac, to switch to the Outline mode. And I'm going to zoom in even closer. And notice that we're looking at the intersection of the top black path, as well as this outer red path. And we can see that the case if I press Control, Y, or Command, Y, on a Mac to switch back to the Preview mode.
