Modifying data to create a category axis
- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll show you how to modify a column of data to create a category axis. The idea is right now, we're just modifying all of the data including the years. So we're starting at zero and going all the way up to 2,500. What we really want to do is start at zero and end at 100% down here on what is known as the value axis. Then we want the years to appear along this vertical category axis. And to make that happen, you want to click on the graph in order to select it and then right click anywhere in the document window and choose the data command in order to bring up the floating spreadsheet. Now notice that currently all of my values have two digits after the decimal point, and they're all zeros, meaning that they're not serving any purpose. To reformat your numbers, go ahead and click on this icon right here cell style, and that's going to affect all the cells by the way. Then take the number of…
