Agilists don't want anything from predictive

- Over the years, a great divide has been created between some Agileists and predictive based, also known as traditional or waterfall approaches. There are situations where a predictive approach is an excellent choice in the history of projects being completed. Great value has been created and delivered using predictive approaches, something that Agileists can forget. In my experience, the majority of this comes from a lack of knowledge in adopting agile. Agile has never been about being super duper at demonstrating how well you can follow an approach's prescription. It is about the benefits of fast feedback and validation, collaboration, and being a team versus a group of individuals working on a scope of work. Agile approaches could provide benefits in most situations, but gaps or short companies exist in the guidance of popular frameworks. These gaps can be filled with practices from other agile approaches, or dare I say, predictive approaches in this course. From this point…
