- Are you hoping to get promoted? Or are you curious how skills are directly tied to career success? LinkedIn data shows that members who regularly update and add new skills get promoted 11% faster than those who don't, and employees who engage with career goals spend seven times more time learning. That's the power of continuous learning, and it starts with setting your goals, and learning the critical skills that matter most. Let me show you how to set your learning goals and create a learning plan to keep you on track. From the homepage if you are a Career Hub subscriber, you can click on my career plan to get started, and at the top you'll see Goal. Now this is where you're going to set your learning goal and create your learning plan. Now, if you didn't create this during the onboarding process, this is where you can come and create it at any point or change it if you'd like to update it. I'm going to click Get Started, and because it knows I'm a senior program manager, it is going to provide me with some prompts below. Now you can select one of these prompts, or you can type in a different goal in the text box right here. Now, I really like this option of leveraging AI in my role. I'm going to click that and here we'll see that it is creating a personalized learning plan for me. On the next screen, I will see a preview of that plan, and they built this based on the entire library of courses, and you'll see what the focus is in the middle, which are some skills that are really relevant for this plan, as well as some learning goals below, what I'll learn and what I'll achieve. Now, if I like this learning plan, I can click get started with this plan, or if I want to pick a different goal, I can click on, try a different goal below and start the process over. I'm going to go ahead and get started with this plan. Now my personalized learning plan has been created and I can see all the different courses and content that is recommended for me. You can edit this plan at any time by removing content or adding courses as well. You can also return to this page at any time, to dig into your learning plan and continue learning, or make changes. After you've created your personalized learning plan I highly recommend that you return to this page often so you can continue learning or make any adjustments to your goal.
