- [Instructor] Which version of Windows are you running? To find out, press the Windows + R keyboard shortcut and type winver, Windows version, W-I-N-V-E-R, press Enter or click OK. This computer is running Windows 11. More specifically, it's running the Windows 11 Home version. This information is more important than you think, not only for tech support, but for available features as well. Windows 11 comes with various versions, Windows 11 Home, Windows 11 Pro, Windows 11 Education, Windows 11 Enterprise. Specific variations exist between these versions as well. Say I want to upgrade this version of Windows 11 Home to Windows 11 Pro. A valid reason is that the Home version lacks features such as BitLocker encryption, the remote desktop, and the hypervisor. Press the Windows + I keyboard shortcut to open the Settings app. Choose System, and then scroll down to find Activation. What you're looking for is an item titled…
