- Estimating costs of data storage resources. We talked about the Google Cloud pricing calculator before in this course, and it's really the best tool that there is to estimate costs on the Google Cloud platform. So let's look at an example of how we would go about estimating costs for storage. So here we can click on add to estimate, and we can choose a service. So for example, we can add cloud storage over here, and then we need to specify some details. So for example, let's say I have a dual region bucket in Finland and Netherlands, and I'm using mostly the standard storage class. I'm using, let's say, one terabyte of data, and I expect about 20 gigabyte of data transfer within Google Cloud coming from Europe to North America. So these are basically all the parameters that incur some cost for the cloud storage service. So here now we have the monthly estimate for this particular bucket with these types of usage here.
