- [Narrator] Even the best fonts can go bad, and when they do, it helps to have a tool to find and fix the problems. FontDoctor, by Extensis, can help you solve font problems by locating, diagnosing, and repairing common corruption and defects. You get FontDoctor for free if you purchase Suitcase Fusion, or you can buy it separately. Let's take a look. When you first launch FontDoctor, it displays a brief guide as to how it works. I'll go ahead and close that, and the FontDoctor window is composed of these four tabs here. Scan fonts tells you when the last time your fonts were scanned for problems and the results of that scan. Below that are the auto scan settings, and here I can see that FontDoctor is going to initiate a scan once a month, or if any folder that I told it to auto scan is modified. And I can see when the next scheduled auto scan will happen. I can also initiate a scan of those folders right now. I can also do a manual scan where I can choose a particular folder of…
