And when it comes to font editing, one company, FontLab Limited, offers the most popular tools. They own both FontLab studio, which they developed, and Fontographer, which they acquired from Macromedia. Both FontLab Studio and Fontographer are professional-level applications for both Windows and Mac with tons of features and price tags to match. Both applications have their fans who need specific features. FontLab offers a comparison chart so you can see the features each application offers. FontLab also offers a more entry-level application called TypeTool, which is a more limited version of FontLab Studio.
