- [Carl] In Excel, the data table is one of the most important dynamic tools for FP&A. These tables conveniently capture data as referable objects that can be used in financial analysis in Excel formulas like SUM, SUMIFS, and practically every LOOKUP function. Data tables outside of Power Query are located up here on the Insert ribbon within this icon, Table. All I need to do is highlight the entirety of my data, go to Insert, Table, and this window pops up. Where is the data for your table? A1 to I661. My table has headers, and this is going to prove to be vital incoming lessons. Let's click OK. We now have a dynamic table named Table1. But that's not all dynamic tables are about. Because if you remember from our last challenge, we created dynamic tables with Power Query. With Power Query, we can connect backend data from our systems and exports, clean, reformat, and position it in the Power Query Editor, and then bring that data week-after-week, month-after-month, into these dynamic…
