- It's vital to write everything down. And by this I mean record everything somehow, not necessarily on paper. I'll come to paper versus not paper in a moment, but first, just to clarify, everything. Every idea that you have should go into an app like Evernote. Every job to do should go on either your master list or your daily list. Everything you agree to should go into your diary or onto one of these lists. And everything that other people promise you should have a promise date and go into your diary or calendar. Every film that's recommended to you, every price that's quoted, every good or bad restaurant, everything that you might need to access in the future, stick it all into Evernote or something similar so that you don't have to keep it in your brain clogging up your creativity. I have no idea what I did last week and I have no idea what I'm doing next week. It's all in my diary if I need to look at it. The past is gone, the future is planned and both are not in my head.
