- AI might seem like magic. It feels that way to me at times, but it's rooted in several fundamental components that work together to enable intelligent behavior. To truly understand how to think through and apply it, it's important to understand the key building blocks and see how they form the foundation of AI. If we were to make a graphic of the foundation of AI, the first building block would be data. Data is a fuel that powers AI systems. It comes from various sources like user interactions and online activities. The quality and quantity of data are key because they determine how well an AI system can learn and make accurate predictions. It's like imagining you have a basket of different fruits, apples, oranges, and bananas. You take pictures of each fruit and collect information about their color, shape, and size.
