Now you know that as a senior decision maker, the vision and plans for dealing with being a target on the internet has to come from you. Remember, cyber risk is not much different from other business risks that you have to manage every day, such as sales, order fulfillment, and accounts receivable. But a cyber attack can keep you from performing all three of those critical functions. If you can do a good job managing big business risks without being an expert in those areas, then you can do well as a cyber risk manager. So what's next? If you don't already have a cyber security working group, you should make one. But keep it small, just a senior decision maker, whoever's in charge of IT and the human resources leader is enough to start. Next, ask them to watch this course.
