Refined drawing
- A refined drawing is the end result of a progressive process. You're trying to remove as much guesswork as you can, before you move to digital and start building out your shapes in vector form. So coming up with your final refined drawing is very important. It gives you a foundation to build on. So let's take a look at how we refined our drawings for this project. So this is where we ended up with the rough drawing. And even though the better you get at illustrative design, you might be able to go from a rough drawing like this, to the final art. I've done that many times, but I almost always set it aside and look at it later. And I usually notice a few things I can change and therefore I'll do a refined drawing. And that's what I did here.
