- [Instructor] So to add welded wire mesh is pretty much the same function as adding area reinforcing, only we generally always add this in plan. The objective of this video is to add fabric reinforcing to a slab. We'll look at the wire type, the splice length and the spacing. So to get started in Revit, under Models, let's go Open. Browse to where you're keeping your exercise files. In chapter six, I'm going to grab 06_07_Fabric. Click Open. Let's go up to level two in the project browser. Let's go to the Structure tab. On the Reinforcement panel, let's click on Fabric Area. Now, we could add it sheet by sheet but in this case, we're going to place a bunch of sheets in a defined area, just like we did with the area reinforcing. So click Structural Fabric Area. Now, we need to pick the floor to add it. Sometimes that's a little bit tough to do. So let's double click on our section marker. Now let's zoom into…
