- Earlier in the course we talked about letting go by starting to appreciate and learn from our mistakes rather than punish ourself for them. And about doing correct expectation management, so that we don't create unnecessary disappointment and frustration with ourselves. The knowledge and exercises in those videos will help you stop criticizing yourself, or at least do it far less. But what about when other people criticize you? Imagine that you've made yourself your favorite meal. You take a bite and it is just how you like it. And then suddenly a stranger walks over, takes a bite of it and tells you that it tastes all wrong and that you have to put some dead bugs in it or there's something wrong with you.
