- While we're in the process of switching to digital drawings, it's a good time to also start digitizing our workflows. When I talk about digital workflows I mean much more than just digitizing our old paper forms. I'm talking about leveraging the digital process to take advantage of the things that the computer can do for us to make the process shorter, more efficient, and more accurate. A very simple example would be something like submitting a daily report. Now, I could go digital by simply digitizing my existing daily report form, maybe turning it into a PDF that I can fill out on a computer. Now that's helpful and it's better than paper, but it's still not as efficient as it could be. For example, my form, whether it's paper or digital, requires me to enter the date and the weather on the job site.
