- In this section of the course, we're going to discuss the foundations of threat and vulnerability management, including the basic threats that exist, the frameworks we can use to better understand these threats, and the different vulnerability management activities that we can perform to help minimize the security risks to our enterprise networks. In this section, we're going to be focusing on domain two, security operations, specifically objectives 2.1 and 2.3. Objective 2.1 states that given a scenario, you must perform threat management activities. Objective 2.3 states that given a scenario, perform vulnerability management activities. Now, as we start out this section, we're going to focus on threat management activities, which includes defining the different types of threat intelligence as either tactical, strategic, or operational. Then we're going to talk about the different types of threat actors, including apts and nation state actors, insider threats, competitors…
