The new AutoCAD Electrical 2022 interface

- [Instructor] If you've been using older versions of AutoCAD Electrical in the past, you'll find that when you open up the latest version of AutoCAD Electrical, which is 2022, the interface is subtly different. You'll notice that there's been a bit of a revamp when it comes to colors and icons. You'll notice we have this dark mode going on now, which is the grays and almost blacks to reduce eyestrain. You'll also notice that the icons have had a bit of a refit as well, and you can see that they're much, much more refined to cope with the higher res 4K monitors out there. So if I jump across the ribbon here, you'll see, look, the icons are very colorful, very clean, and much, much more descriptive as well. You can see that they look very good there, as you can see in all the different icon terminologies that you've got. So if I go back to the schematic tab, for example, you can see that things like the wire and wire numbers, they're very clean and easy to read now. Also in the interface in the 2022 version, the start tab has been updated quite a bit as well. It looks very different now. You can see that we have the open a new here. We have recent Autodesk docs and learning. You can go to learning pages on the Autodesk website. There's your recent files in the middle. You've got announcements such as product updates. And it also lets you know that you're connected using your Autodesk account there. You can see my email address indicating that I'm logged in using this particular version of AutoCAD Electrical using my AutoCAD subscription. I'll jump back into the drawing now, like so, away from the start tab. But as you can see there, the interface is somewhat different if you've been using older versions of AutoCAD electrical. So just be aware of that when you work through this particular course, because obviously it has the newer interface rather than the older interface.
