- [Instructor] We're starting another chapter now in our AutoCAD Electrical course, and we're going to look at one of the more important functions of AutoCAD Electrical, and that is the reporting function. You can send reports to external files, such as an Excel file or a Microsoft Access file, and you can also add reports as tables to your AutoCAD Electrical drawings as well. Now, the whole idea is, is when you're creating these reports, you're taking information from the database behind the AutoCAD Electrical project and you're then creating it in a tabular format rather than a drawing format so that it can go out, for example, for purchasing or the quantities can all be added up and the job can be priced and that kind of idea. So the trick is now, we need a new project for you so that you can start looking at reporting. So we've got a new project, called PROJECT006, which you can download from the library.
