- [Instructor] At this stage, our breathing elephant and scouting eagle look like part of a surreal scene under the bridge, but we can make them blend even better by using some color correction and edge treatment. Since After Effects doesn't let us apply effects directly to 3D models, we need a work around and here's how to do it. First, I'll make a new solid layer at the size of the comp and name it FX. Then I'll move to four seconds and 15 frames on the timeline so both animals are visible and I'll go to Effect, Channel and apply the CC Composite effect. Here, I'll set the top layer, which is the reference layer to the elephant layer and change the Transfer Mode to Copy and untick RGB Only. So now this reference as the 3D model and renders it as a 2D image on top of all the layers. This will allow us to apply effects to enhance its integration into the scene.
