Regain control when you feel off track
Everyone has off days. It's how you reset that matters. Some days you just feel off. Maybe you didn't sleep well. Maybe something's bothering you. Or maybe the work is just wearing on you. Whatever the reason, your head's not in it and mistakes start to happen. The solution isn't to push harder, it's to reset. So here's a few strategies you can try when you start to feel distracted or discouraged. Number one, pause for 30 seconds. Step away from the work if you can. Take a breath. Get grounded. Number two, get back to your routine. That might be checking your station, reloading supplies or knocking at a task you know well. Momentum builds from doing one thing right. And number three, tell someone if you're stuck. You don't need to explain everything. Just say, I'm a little off today, but I'm working through it. That kind of honesty builds trust.
