(bright music) - [Instructor] Imagine that you are holding your smartphone, and when you hit send on that text or play that video, do you ever wonder about the incredible journey the data takes from your phone back to the internet or to the network? Let me pull back the curtain and show you the three components of the telecom networks, the radio access network, the transport network, and the code network. These are the key components that is making the digital life possible through wireless connectivity. Let's take a moment to visualize the network architecture by looking into these three components one by one. First, let's consider the radio access network setup, which is also termed as RAN. Picture a cell tower, where at the bottom, there is a equipment, which is normally termed as a baseband unit. This is where all the signal processing happens at the bottom.
