(soft music) - [Instructor] Let's look into another important concept, which is data radio bearers used in 5G. It is a logical channel used to transmit user data such as internet traffic or video streaming between the 5G UE and the 5G NR or gNodeB. So we have to be precise here, it is the connection between the user device and the gNodeB. We talked about the signaling connection. We have to have the CM connected mode and RM registered mode, and then we have a signaling radio bearer for the control plane that is establishing between the UE and the gNodeB, and then we have NGAP bearer for signaling purposes between gNodeB and the AMF. But after the signaling, there is actual user data that is to be transmitted. And for that, we have this data radio bearer. It's a specific type of radio bearer dedicated to carrying user data that is distinct from the singling radio bearer, SRB, which handles the control plane part, control signaling part.
